Q: What is the optimal image file type I should use for my logo?
A: For best results, please use a designed black & white logo in JPG or PNG format. Please note: The logo must be designed in black & white. A color logo converted to black & white will not produce the best results.:

- Model No. 5400LZ: 450 x 250 pixels
Q: What if I only have a color logo?
A: A color logo will not produce the best results with the engraving process. Please use a designed black & white logo that meets the above requirements.
Q: Can I change the size or placement of my logo?
A: The logo will be engraved on the lock areas exactly as shown on your screen. Sizing cannot be modified outside of the specifications provided or it will not fit on the defined lock areas.
Q: Can I increase the size of my text font?
A: There are two available font sizes: 1/8in and 3/16in. Use the pull-down menus on our engraving tool to find the one that looks best.
Q: Can I add more lines of text?
A: The lines of text are limited by the size of lock area being engraved. Our engraving tool will display how many lines are available, and these can't be changed.
Q: Do I have color options for my text and logo?
A: What you see on the screen is exactly how the logo/text will be engraved. Your logo and text cannot be engraved in color. Please note: The logo must be designed in black & white. A color logo converted to black & white will not produce the best results.
Q: Can I create a lock box with a logo only, text only, or must I always include a logo and text?
A: You may engrave your lock box with either a logo, or text, or both. The specific locations are designated on the engraving tool.
Q: Can I preview my logos/text prior to purchase?
A: You will have the ability to review your logos/text both within the web interface and via the review tab in the cart, prior to purchase.
Q: Can I share my design prior to ordering?
A: You can share the design prior to ordering, by selecting either the email or share icons located below the "Add to Cart" button.
Q: Can I order multiple lock boxes with different engraving options?
A: You can order an infinite number of identical lock boxes, by selecting the preferred quantity in the cart. If you wish to purchase multiple lock boxes, with different logos/text, each design will need to be created separately and added to the cart.
Q: Can I order the lock box without the engraving option?
Q: When will I receive my engraved locks?
A: Your locks will ship within 10 business days from order submission.
Q: Does the price change if I select more locations for engraving?
A: The price remains unchanged regardless of the locations you enter to have engraved. This is a one fee model for engraving services. Shipping and handling is included.
Q: What other products does Master Lock engraving services for?
A: We currently offer engraving services to the consumer for the 5400LZ and 5422LZ only.
Q: What is the return policy for this product?
A: Due to the customization, we do not accept returns for this product unless the product is defective under our Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Q: Why do I have to "register" for an account before purchasing my lock box?
A: You will be prompted to create an account at checkout. This will ensure your specific engraving instructions & logo are saved in our system to make future orders simpler & more convenient for you.
