Is my Master Lock product covered under warranty?

Master Lock offers several different types of warranties depending on the product type. To find out which type of warranty your product falls under, check the product page.

You can search for your product using the product number (example: 131D) or with the product type (example: luggage lock). If you’re having trouble, please contact our customer support team.

I couldn't open my lock and it had to be cut off. Will Master Lock replace my lock?

If this product, or any part of this product fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship during the life of the product, Master Lock will replace the product or part free of charge.

Will Master Lock reimburse me for locksmith charges?

No. Master Lock does not reimburse for locksmith charges.

Can Master Lock ship to a P.O. Box?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship to a P.O. Box. Please provide a physical mailing address for your replacement lock.

My Master Lock Travel Sentry™ Certified lock was cut off by a TSA baggage screener to access my luggage. Will Master Lock replace my lock?

Yes, Master Lock will replace the Travel Sentry™ Certified lock with the same style or one of equal value, free of charge.

Note: Any lock returned using the following address that is not a Master Lock Travel Sentry™ Certified lock will not be returned to you.

Master Lock issued a replacement for my product. When will I receive it?

Generally, you should receive the replacement product in 2-4 weeks. This time may vary depending on the product.

My Master Lock lock is difficult to open, freezes in the winter, or the key no longer turns. What can I do?

Read our Care & Service guide or watch our Lock Maintenance video. You can also lubricate your locks with Master Lock Lubricant 2300D. Never use dry graphite or a silicone lubricant.

My combination won’t open my Master Lock lock. What can I do?

If you're sure that you know the combination but cannot open your lock, you may need to have a locksmith remove the lock. If you believe your lock had a mechanical malfunction that caused it to fail, please contact customer service. We will reach out to you within 48 hours.
